NAP Honors Two Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ CoNHS Faculty Members with Prestigious Honors

Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ faculty, Drs. Arvie Vitente and Ann Guernon, were awarded prestigious honors at the 2025 Annual Induction Banquet and Awards Ceremony held on March 15 in Washington D.C.
The Emerging Interprofessional National Academies of Practice Member of the Year Award was presented to Vitente, program director and professor of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program, recognizing his exemplary work in interprofessional care and his commitment to advancing education in the field.
Guernon became the second Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ faculty member named a Distinguished Fellow during the 2025 celebration. The interim associate dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and associate professor of speech-language pathology has extensive experience managing clinical trials, has provided services to people across the spectrum of healthcare and focuses on developing effective treatments for acquired cognitive communication.
Vitente was named a Distinguished Fellow in 2024. Distinguished Fellows are individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the practice, research and education of interprofessional care.
NAP supports people to advance the education, scholarship and research of interprofessional care. Thus, members improve healthcare and policies.
